Touch the email address you want to use as the default for sending emails from iCloud Mail. In the iCloud Account Information section, tap your email address. Enter the username you want to use as your email address.
A pop-up window will appear with the message "Create a free email address to activate iCloud Mail".

If you’re really struggling for space you can turn off iCloud Photos altogether. To free up that space go into the album, make sure there’s nothing you need to keep and select and delete the lot. It’s worth remembering that deleted photos and videos aren’t actually deleted: they’re moved to the Recently Deleted album, where they still take up space. It’s amazing how much storage space you can free up when you get shot of them, and deleting unwanted pics is a good habit to get into.
